About the Program:

Upon successful completion of this course and the 1000 mandated hours, students are prepared to take the New York State Cosmetologist Licensing Examination. Students gain daily practical experience working on other students and, after the second year, have the opportunity to provide services to patrons in a clinical setting at CTEC.

Additional Information:

Uniforms and workshoes must be worn in the Cosmetology classrooms. In addition, a Cosmetology Kit and uniform must be purchased. Students must maintain a 75% or better average during their junior year to be eligible for the senior year class. To meet the state-mandated 1000 clinical hours, students will need to attend the 5 week summer clinical session after their senior year.
