About the Program:
The New Vision Education Program is an in-depth study
of educational career opportunities. Students observe staff in their
actual work situations, allowing students to explore a variety of education
career professions while integrating their academic knowledge with
the experience of working in a school. Students spend approximately
6 hours per week in clinical rotations throughout various school settings.
Students have the opportunity to earn up to 18 college credits, while
meeting high school requirements for English 12, Economics and Participation
in Government.

Academic Credit: 
- English 101 (3 college credits)
- English 102 (3 college credits)
- Macro Economics (3 college credits)
- U.S. Government - National (3 college credits)
- General Psychology (3 college credits)
- Child Psychology (3 college credits)
Program Objectives:
- To apply previous and new academic knowledge and skills to professional
situations.
- To expand and apply both written and oral communication skills
to effectively communicate with persons outside their peer group
- To develop career plans based on experiential learning
- To begin a transition from high school to college education
- To improve and expand the ability to think critically and solve
problems
Minimum Admission Requirements:
- An overall 85% or higher average
- An 85% or higher on the English Regents Exam
- A cumulative average of 85% or higher in all English classes with
no final grade below an 80%
- Completion of the application form and admission essay, two teacher
references and a guidance counselor reference
- Interview with the admissions committee.
