About the Program

Work Place Learning is a program offered by CTEC in conjunction with the Valley View Healthcare Facility, ELANT of Goshen, Glen Arden and Orange Regional Medical Center.

Students are transported daily from CTEC to the facilities where they work with personnel    in either small groups or one-on-one. The students are supervised by Certified Teachers, Assistants and Aides. Students   work with maintenance workers, custodians, housekeepers, chefs, dietary staff, stockroom workers and laundry personnel.

This program is geared for developmentally disabled students and is designed to move students from school to the workforce upon graduation by immersing them in a work environment.

  • Caterer

Additional Information:

Required supplies include 2 complete uniforms and shoes appropriate for each program. Cost is approximately $100.00.

Students being considered for this program should be mature, responsible and trustworthy and have a good working attitude. Students with severe behavioral problems would most likely not be suitable for this program.
