SLS Professional Reference Library
The mission of the Orange-Ulster BOCES Professional Reference Library is to provide participating member districts with support services and professional materials on current issues in education with an emphasis on curriculum, educational trends, and instructional practices.
The goals of the Professional Reference Library are:
• To maintain current and relevant periodicals, monographs, videotapes, software and standard reference materials for member districts.
• To offer a cost effective means for districts to have access to current professional materials.
Through the Database Access and Management Service, online databases are available to all schools at discount pricing negotiated by the School Library System. For members of the Professional Reference Library, IP addresses, and usernames and passwords are managed.
Professional librarians perform a search of the literature for specific needs of member districts. Database articles can be emailed directly to patrons.
